“When schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and like school more.”
A New Wave of Evidence, a report from Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (2002)
The above statement is a belief we hold dear and true. As family units seem to grow smaller, there is an increasing need for our children to build relationships outside of their homes. Especially for new parents, raising a child can be a very isolating and stressful experience. Being part of StartRight, you will have a community of families ready to support you, from sharing baby food recipes to planning playdates.
We’ve organized outings to the zoo, picnic at the park and BBQ party by the pool. All these help bring families together. And when parents get to know other parents from StartRight, we show our children how friendships are formed outside of their own circle. They will realise that relationships are not confined into one specific place.
